About the Role

Our client is a leading agricultural technology firm looking for a talented Agricultural Data Analyst to join their team in Cancún, Quintana Roo . This hybrid role is perfect for someone passionate about agriculture and data science, tasked with transforming raw agricultural data into actionable insights that drive yield optimization and operational efficiency. You will work with diverse datasets, including weather, soil, satellite imagery, and farm management records, to identify key performance indicators and support strategic decision-making. Your analysis will directly contribute to more sustainable and profitable farming practices.

Key Responsibilities

- Collect, clean, and process large agricultural datasets from various sources (sensors, drones, satellites, farm software).
- Develop and implement statistical models and machine learning algorithms to analyze crop performance, identify trends, and predict outcomes.
- Visualize data through dashboards and reports to communicate findings effectively to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Identify key factors influencing crop yield, quality, and resource use efficiency.
- Collaborate with agronomists and farm managers to understand their data needs and provide tailored analytical support.
- Monitor the effectiveness of implemented agricultural strategies based on data analysis.
- Stay updated on the latest data analysis techniques and agricultural technologies.




- Ensure data quality, integrity, and security throughout the analysis process.
- Assist in the development of data-driven recommendations for farm management practices.

Requirements

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Agronomy, or a related quantitative field.
- Proven experience as a Data Analyst, preferably within the agricultural sector.
- Strong proficiency in data manipulation and analysis using tools like SQL, Python (Pandas, NumPy), or R.
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Matplotlib).
- Knowledge of statistical modeling, machine learning, and predictive analytics.
- Familiarity with agricultural concepts, crop science, and farm management practices is highly advantageous.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment, balancing remote and in-office work in Cancún, Quintana Roo .
