About the Role

Our client is looking for an experienced Farmacéutico Supervisor to lead their Unit of Hazardous Drug Compounding (UCA) in Torreón, Coahuila . This critical role involves overseeing the safe preparation, storage, and dispensing of hazardous medications, ensuring strict adherence to safety protocols and regulatory standards. You will manage a team of technicians and pharmacists, fostering a culture of safety and precision. The idóneo candidate will possess strong leadership skills, in-depth knowledge of hazardous drug handling, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of pharmaceutical practice. Key Responsibilities

- Supervise all activities within the hazardous drug compounding unit, ensuring compliance with safety regulations (e.g., NIOSH guidelines).
- Manage and train compounding personnel, including pharmacists and technicians, on safe handling techniques and procedures.
- Oversee the preparation of sterile and non‑sterile hazardous drug preparations, including chemotherapy.
- Ensure proper use and maintenance of specialized equipment, such as biological safety cabinets and isolators.
- Maintain accurate inventory control for hazardous drugs and related supplies.
- Implement and enforce policies and procedures for waste management and decontamination.




- Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments within the compounding unit.
- Collaborate with physicians and nursing staff to ensure appropriate and timely provision of hazardous medications.
- Stay current with best practices and regulatory changes related to hazardous drug handling and compounding.

Requirements

- Licensed Pharmacist in Mexico with current registration.
- Minimum of 5 years of pharmacy experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role focused on sterile compounding or hazardous drugs.
- Extensive knowledge of hazardous drug handling, preparation techniques, and safety protocols.
- Certification in sterile compounding (e.g., CPhT-AS) is highly desirable.
- Proven leadership and team management skills.
- Strong understanding of aseptic technique and cleanroom operations.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate effectively with healthcare professionals and staff.
- Familiarity with relevant regulatory guidelines and standards.
