About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly accomplished and globally-minded Especialista en Litigios y Arbitraje Internacional to join their fully remote legal team. This role is perfect for a seasoned litigator with extensive experience in cross-border disputes, complex international arbitration, and commercial litigation. You will play a critical role in managing high-stakes international cases, advising clients on dispute resolution strategies, and representing their interests before international tribunals and foreign courts. Key Responsibilities

- Manage and conduct international litigation and arbitration proceedings.
- Develop and implement effective legal strategies for cross-border disputes.
- Advise clients on international commercial law, investment treaty arbitration, and public international law.
- Draft pleadings, briefs, and other legal documents for international forums.
- Represent clients in arbitral hearings, mediations, and court proceedings globally.
- Conduct legal research on complex international legal issues.
- Collaborate with foreign counsel and manage external legal teams.
- Negotiate settlements in international disputes.




- Advise on risk mitigation for international business operations.
- Stay abreast of evolving international legal frameworks and dispute resolution trends.

Requirements

- Law degree (Licenciatura en Derecho) and advanced legal degree (e.g., LL.M.) from a reputable institution, with a focus on international law.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience specializing in international litigation and arbitration.
- Proven experience with major international arbitration rules (e.g., ICC, LCIA, UNCITRAL).
- Deep understanding of international commercial law, public international law, and investment law.
- Exceptional analytical, research, and writing skills.
- Outstanding oral advocacy and negotiation capabilities.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex, high-value international cases.
- Excellent command of English (written and spoken); proficiency in other languages is a plus.
- Proven ability to work autonomously and collaboratively in a remote global team.
- Bar admission in good standing.
