About the Role

Our client, a well-established manufacturer of industrial components, is seeking a skilled Ingeniero de Diseño Mecánico to join their team in Chihuahua, Chihuahua . This role is crucial for the design, development, and optimization of mechanical transmission systems, including gearboxes, couplings, and drive shafts. You will be involved in the entire product development cycle, from initial concept generation to final production support. This is an on‑site position where you will collaborate closely with manufacturing and quality teams to ensure the highest standards of performance and reliability. Key Responsibilities

- Design and develop new mechanical transmission components and assemblies using CAD software.
- Perform detailed analysis, including stress, fatigue, and kinematic simulations, to optimize performance and durability.
- Select appropriate materials and heat treatment processes for gears, shafts, and bearings.
- Prepare comprehensive technical documentation, including drawings, BOMs, and design reports.
- Work closely with manufacturing engineers to ensure designs are optimized for production efficiency and quality.
- Conduct prototype testing and validation,



analyzing results and implementing design improvements.
- Provide technical support to sales, service, and production departments.
- Stay updated on the latest advancements in transmission technology and design best practices.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the mechanical design of power transmission systems (gearboxes, couplings, etc.).
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, CATIA, Inventor).
- Experience with FEA and kinematic simulation tools.
- Strong understanding of gears, bearings, shafts, and lubrication principles.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes relevant to transmission components.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
