About the Role

Our client, a trailblazer in automotive innovation, is seeking a highly experienced Remote Automotive Software Architect to lead the design and development of complex software systems for next-generation vehicles. Key Responsibilities

- Define and document the overall software architecture for automotive systems, including infotainment, ADAS, connectivity, and vehicle control.
- Establish software design principles, patterns, and coding standards.
- Lead the technical direction for software development teams, ensuring alignment with architectural goals.
- Evaluate and select appropriate technologies, frameworks, and tools for software development.
- Ensure the scalability, reliability, security, and maintainability of automotive software systems.
- Collaborate with product managers, hardware engineers, and other stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.




- Identify and mitigate technical risks associated with software development.
- Mentor and guide senior software engineers and technical leads.
- Stay at the forefront of emerging trends and technologies in automotive software and related fields.

Requirements

- Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field; PhD is a plus.
- 10+ years of experience in software development, with at least 7 years focused on automotive software architecture.
- Proven experience in designing complex, large-scale software systems, preferably in the automotive domain.
- Deep understanding of software architecture patterns, microservices, distributed systems, and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure).
- Expertise in embedded systems, real-time operating systems (RTOS), and automotive communication protocols (CAN, Ethernet, SOME/IP).
- Familiarity with automotive software development processes and standards (e.g., AUTOSAR, ISO 26262).
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to drive technical vision and strategy in a remote, collaborative environment.
- Fluent in Spanish and English.
