About the Role

Key Responsibilities

- Lead the conceptualization and design of new consumer electronic products, from ideation through to production.
- Develop detailed 3D models and technical drawings using CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Fusion 360).
- Create and refine product prototypes for testing and validation.
- Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and software engineering teams to ensure integrated product design.
- Conduct material selection and analysis to optimize product performance, cost, and manufacturability.
- Work closely with manufacturing partners to ensure designs are feasible for mass production.
- Perform design for manufacturability (DFM) and design for assembly (DFA) analysis.




- Stay abreast of emerging design trends, materials, and manufacturing technologies in the consumer electronics industry.
- Participate in product testing and refinement based on user feedback and performance data.
- Prepare design documentation and presentations for internal reviews and external partners.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design, Mechanical Engineering, or a closely related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in product design, specifically within the consumer electronics sector.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating successful product development projects.
- Expert proficiency in 3D CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Creo, Inventor).
- Experience with rapid prototyping techniques (e.g., 3D printing, CNC machining).
- Solid understanding of plastic injection molding, metal stamping, and other relevant manufacturing processes.
- Knowledge of material properties and their application in product design.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and creative thinking skills.
- Proven ability to work effectively and collaboratively in a fully remote team environment.
- Strong communication and presentation skills for remote collaboration.
- Experience with electronics hardware and understanding of PCB layouts is a plus.
