About the Role

Our client, a prominent industrial facility in Tlaquepaque, Jalisco , is seeking a dedicated Plant and Production Engineer to oversee and enhance daily manufacturing operations. This role is integral to ensuring efficient production schedules, maintaining high-quality standards, and optimizing resource utilization within the plant. You will be directly involved in managing production teams, troubleshooting operational issues, and implementing process improvements to boost productivity and reduce costs. This is a key on-site position for an engineer passionate about manufacturing excellence and eager to make a significant impact on the operational success of a leading company in the vibrant industrial landscape of Jalisco. The position requires full-time presence at the plant to ensure continuous oversight and immediate response to operational needs.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage and supervise daily production activities to meet output targets and quality standards.
- Develop and implement production schedules and plans to optimize efficiency and resource allocation.
- Monitor production processes, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions to improve workflow.
- Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues, collaborating with maintenance and quality teams.
- Implement process improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma principles.
- Ensure adherence to all safety regulations and environmental policies on the plant floor.
- Train and mentor production staff, fostering a culture of safety and continuous improvement.




- Manage inventory of raw materials and finished goods to ensure smooth production flow.
- Analyze production data to identify trends, measure performance, and report on key metrics.
- Contribute to the capital expenditure process by identifying needs for new equipment or technology.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in production engineering, plant management, or a similar role within manufacturing.
- Solid understanding of production planning, scheduling, and operations management.
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with diverse teams.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with ERP systems is a plus.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced production environment.
