About the Role

Our client, a leader in advanced manufacturing located in Toluca, State of Mexico , is seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Engineer with a specialization in Automation. This critical role will be responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of automated systems and processes to enhance production efficiency, quality, and safety. You will work on the factory floor, collaborating closely with production teams and external vendors to integrate robotics, PLC systems, and other automation technologies. This is a hands-on position for an engineer passionate about cutting‑edge manufacturing technology and driving innovation in a dynamic industrial setting. Your expertise will be key to modernizing our production lines and maintaining our competitive edge in the market. This role requires full-time dedication on-site in our Toluca facility.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and implement automated manufacturing systems, including robotic cells, PLC controls, and HMI interfaces.
- Optimize existing automated processes to improve cycle times, reduce waste, and enhance product quality.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with automated equipment and control systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., engineering, production, maintenance) to define automation requirements and project scopes.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, including P&IDs;, electrical schematics, and operating manuals for automated systems.
- Specify and select automation hardware and software components.
- Manage automation projects from conception through to implementation and validation.




- Stay current with advancements in automation technology and identify opportunities for integration.
- Ensure all automated systems comply with safety standards and regulations.
- Train maintenance and production personnel on the operation and upkeep of automated equipment.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in manufacturing engineering with a strong focus on industrial automation.
- Proven experience with PLC programming (e.g., Siemens, Allen-Bradley) and HMI development.
- Knowledge of industrial robotics (e.g., FANUC, KUKA) and their integration.
- Experience with CAD software for designing automation layouts and components.
- Strong understanding of industrial control systems, sensors, and actuators.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to manage complex technical projects and work effectively under pressure.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Willingness to work full-time on-site in Toluca .
