Work you’ll do / Responsibilities

As a Payroll Operations Consultant you will contribute to the growth and success of Deloitte Consulting LLP and the Human Capital Portfolio through:

- Serves as a subject matter contact for payroll and ensures timely payroll operations.
- Acts as a reference point for systems changes and updates.
- Supports internal and external members with queries.
- Monitors and tracks process and individual performance.

Qualifications

Required

- 3-5+ years of consulting and/or industry experience.
- Completion of course of study (egresado) in Computer Science, IT, Computer Engineering, or any pertinent field or industry, or equivalent years of experience.
- Advanced English level.
- Experience handling end-to-end payroll operations for large and mid-size payroll clients.
- Strong knowledge of US Payroll and understanding of statutory changes.
- Experience in employee data management and payroll input validations.
- Experience processing manual calculations for LOA, salary changes, mid-period hires, and terminations.
- Experience handling time tracking tools and performing overtime calculations.
- Experience performing payroll reviews and post-payroll activities.
- Experience managing off-cycle payroll runs.
- Experience performing payroll reviews, providing feedback, and training and coaching junior team members.
- Experience with transitions, building SOPs, and other materials to maintain process and people standards.

Preferred

- Experience working on employee payroll queries and maintaining high VOCs.
- Maintaining high accuracy standards and strong attention to detail.
- Strong executive-level communication skills to manage client stakeholders.




- Good understanding and experience of Quality frameworks.
- In-depth knowledge of internal and external reporting.
- Experience multi-tasking and handling time-sensitive tasks.
- Problem-solving attitude and continuous improvement mindset, with demonstrated ability in continuous improvement and transformation.
