About the Role

We are looking for a Senior QA Engineer to champion quality, reliability, and performance across our cloud-native SaaS platform. In this role, you’ll balance hands-on exploratory and API testing with building scalable automation using Playwright, validating CI/CD releases, and running performance tests.

What You’ll Do

- End-to-End & API Testing: Validate REST APIs, service contracts, data flows, and UI workflows across staging and production environments using tools like Postman, Swagger, and browser dev tools.
- Test Automation: Build, maintain, and scale automated test suites (UI and API) using Playwright (TypeScript/JavaScript) integrated into CI/CD pipelines.
- Performance & Load Testing: Plan and execute load/stress tests using tools like k6, Locust, or JMeter to identify system bottlenecks, concurrency limits, and latency issues.
- Troubleshooting & Defect Triage: Dig into CloudWatch/application logs, API payloads, and database states to pinpoint root causes and report reproducible bugs in Jira/Zephyr.
- Release Ownership: Partner with Engineering, SRE,



and Product in Agile sprints to assess release risks, define test strategies, and sign off on deployments.

What You Bring

- 5+ years in QA Engineering, with deep experience in SaaS platforms, microservices, and REST API testing.
- Proven Playwright experience building automated UI and API test frameworks.
- Strong background in hybrid QA—seamlessly switching between exploratory testing, edge-case finding, and automation.
- Practical understanding of AWS environments and backend troubleshooting (logs, PostgreSQL, Redis, HTTP status codes/payloads).
- Experience with CI/CD integration and test case management (Jira/Zephyr).
- Solid grasp of performance testing fundamentals (throughput, latency, error rates).

Bonus Points

- Experience with VoIP, SIP, or real-time communications platforms.
- Hands-on use of modern AI-assisted testing or coding tools.
- Deep observability experience with Datadog, Grafana, or AWS CloudWatch.
