Bending Operator: Works under supervision, the bending Operator knows the different parts and functions of the bending machines. Checks and inspects the quality of incoming parts before forming in terms of stains, bumps, burrs or wastes, watching carefully that each part meets the allowed standards to avoid failures and breakdowns in the operation. Knows the use of measuring instruments.
Is responsible for meeting cleaning and 5´s requirements for the area including machines. This position is not responsible for making adjustments or setting up. Level 1. Will be just assisting and learner to do the function.
Level 2. make only simple bends. Level 3 should be qualified to make any type of bend. Level 4. Sets up, checks, calibrates and does preventive maintenance and adjustments on any bending machine. Knows all the necessary tools for all types of bending and sequences.
Interprets guidelines and designs for the development of each piece. Also functions as the team leader and may require additional certification/education/training at this level.
