Vehicle Powertrain Calibration Engineer

Joining the AVL team in México, you will be responsible to carry out vehicle powertrain calibration activities in engine test bed and vehicle test benches.

Location: Puebla, México

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

- To solve any ECU (Engine Control Unit) related issues during engine test bed testing of internal combustion engines and hybrid powertrains.
- To adapt calibration data to fulfil emissions limits, drivability concerns, fuel consumption targets, performance targets, etc...
- To steer development and implementation of improvement measures to avoid ECU (Engine Control Unit) related issues and more generally to improve KPIs for engine or hybrid system operation.

YOUR PROFILE:

- Degree in the field of mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, mechatronics, physics or comparable studies
- Genuine interest and knowledge in internal combustion engines and hybrid powertrains
- Knowledge in automotive electronics is desirable
- Knowledge of automotive communication systems (CAN, etc…) is desirable
- Ability to investigate root cause of issues, analyze data and formally present and report testing results.
- High level of coordination, communication and team skills
- Good knowledge of English
- German desirable, but not compulsory
