Candidate ProfileAre you someone who thrives in high-expectation environments — who’s built your career in places where the bar is high, the pace is fast, and excellence is the norm — and now wants to apply that same rigor to the products a growing brand portfolio is built on? We’re looking for a Product Development & Insights Manager who pairs sharp commercial thinking with a genuine curiosity about how things are made. Someone who can take apart our products and our competitors’ — what they’re made of, how they work, what they cost — find the differences that matter to customers, and turn them into better products and sharper positioning. You’re sharp, resourceful, and reliable under pressure. You’ve spent the last 4–7 years in demanding, results-driven environments — consulting, a top CPG or e-commerce company, a sourcing or product role, or an equally rigorous organization — where structured thinking, accountability, and speed were expected. You’re as comfortable on a call with a factory about resin thickness as you are writing up why a product wins on the shelf. Now you’re looking for a role with real ownership, endless variety, and visible impact. This role is for someone who:
• Brings structured, commercial thinking to product, sourcing, and positioning decisions.
• Gets genuinely interested in how things are made — whether it’s a vitamin C serum, a freezer bag, or a bunion corrector.
• Has strong marketing instinct for what makes a product different, and can put it into words.
• Moves fluidly between market-level insight and the specs, costs, and details that make a product work.
• Thrives in an environment where the pace is fast, the standards are high, and no task is beneath you.
If you want a role where you’ll shape the products behind a whole portfolio of brands — and where your impact will be visible across the company — this is it. The RoleYou’ll report to the Head of Brand Strategy & Growth and own the product side of our U.
S. brands — from understanding what makes a product different, to sourcing and developing it, to handing it off ready to scale. Some of the work is research: digging into our products and competitors to find unique selling points and gaps in the market. Some is development: working with suppliers on specs, formulations, packaging, and costs. And some is positioning: turning what you’ve learned into copy options that make each product’s strengths clear. What makes the role unusual is its range. Our portfolio spans skincare, supplements, health and wellness, home goods, electronics, and household essentials — one week you might be refining a skincare formulation, the next deciding trash bag thicknesses or shaving an inch off a box so it ships cheaper.
Key Responsibilities
• Product & competitive research: Study our products and competitors’ in depth — what they’re made of, how they perform, how they’re manufactured — to pinpoint real differences, potential unique selling points, and gaps in the market we should move to fill.
• Positioning & copy development: Use your market knowledge and marketing instinct, working with AI tools, to develop copy options that bring each product’s strengths to life, for the Head of Brand Strategy & Growth to shape into final copy.
• Supplier sourcing & cost analysis: Reach out to new and existing suppliers to understand what’s available, what can be made, and what it would cost — and bring back structured comparisons that inform product decisions.
• Product specifications & packaging: Define and refine specs for new and existing products — materials, sizes, formulations, packaging dimensions — balancing customer needs, quality, and cost, down to the details that change shipping costs.
• New product development: Take new products from idea to first production, working with suppliers on samples and first runs across categories as different as skincare formulations and household goods.
• Claims & compliance: Work with suppliers to understand what we can and can’t claim for each product, and make sure our positioning is backed by the product itself.
• Handoff to operations: Partner closely with supply chain and platform management to transition settled products into regular replenishment, with specs and supplier relationships clearly documented.
