We are looking for an experienced Software Engineer III – Frontend to join our engineering team, supporting high-traffic, customer-facing e-commerce applications.

In this role, you will focus primarily on frontend development, building scalable, reliable, and high-performance web experiences across Checkout and Wishlist platforms, with occasional backend development using Java.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Product, UX, and Engineering, to deliver innovative solutions that improve customer experience, conversion, and overall platform performance.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain scalable frontend applications using JavaScript, React, Redux, Node.js, and TypeScript.

- Deliver end-to-end frontend features, from technical design and implementation to production support.

- Build reusable UI components and contribute to shared frontend libraries.

- Translate business requirements, wireframes, and UX designs into high-quality, production-ready code.

- Integrate frontend applications with RESTful APIs and occasionally contribute to backend services using Java.

- Develop and maintain automated unit, integration, functional, and end-to-end tests.

- Participate in code reviews, technical design discussions, and Agile ceremonies.

- Optimize application performance, accessibility, security, and reliability.

- Monitor application health using observability tools, metrics, dashboards, and alerts.

- Collaborate with distributed engineering teams to ensure seamless integration across platforms.

- Leverage AI-assisted development tools to improve engineering productivity while maintaining code quality.

- Follow software engineering best practices, including clean code, maintainability, and secure development.

Required Qualifications

- 5+ years of professional experience in frontend software engineering.

- Strong hands-on experience with JavaScript, React, Redux, Node.js, and TypeScript.

- Experience developing and integrating RESTful APIs.

- Familiarity with backend technologies such as Java, Golang, or Python.

- Strong understanding of frontend architecture, reusable components, and software design patterns.

- Experience implementing automated testing, including unit, integration, and end-to-end testing.

- Experience with testing frameworks such as Playwright or similar tools.

- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, including GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or equivalent.

- Understanding of web performance optimization, accessibility, and secure coding practices.

- Familiarity with observability and monitoring tools such as New Relic, Splunk, or AWS CloudWatch.

- Experience working in Agile development environments.

- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently on complex technical challenges.

- Advanced English communication skills, both written and verbal.

Nice to Have

- Experience developing high-traffic e-commerce applications.

- Hands-on experience with backend development using Java.

- Experience with cloud environments, particularly AWS.

- Knowledge of checkout flows, shopping carts, payment integrations, or customer-facing retail platforms.

- Experience with AI-assisted coding tools such as Claude Code.

- Familiarity with experimentation, A/B testing, and data-driven product improvements.

- Experience collaborating with globally distributed engineering teams.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
