This role is critical to ensuring high availability, security, and performance across all systems, servers, and network components.
You will work closely with management to maintain best practices,troubleshoot issues, and lead system upgrades and improvements.Key SkillsActive DirectoryImplementation of tiered security and GPOsFailover clusteringSystem Center components;High availability firewall and switch management;IT component monitoring;IT component testing;TroubleshootingKey ResponsibilitiesPolicies and ProceduresFollow policies, procedures, and industry best practices;Develop new procedures as necessary.Document all steps for review and approval by management.Systems & Server ManagementManage all host servers running Windows Server **** DatacenterManage and maintain all virtual machines (currently Windows Server ****)Plan and execute upgrades of VM servers to Windows Server ****;Install, configure, test, and maintain operating systems, application software, and system management tools;Ensure high availability, reliability, and performance of systems and infrastructure;Develop, document, and implement a Zero-Trust Architecture plan, including security groups, OUs, GPOs, and user accounts.Virtualization & Microsoft StackInstall, configure, and manage Windows System Center tools (SCVMM,SCCM, etc.)Install, configure, and manage RDS;Build, manage, and deploy VM server templates;Monitor system performance and perform proactive maintenanceActive DirectoryImplement and Manage a tiered zero-trust architecture;Manage Active Directory, security groups, and OUs;Create, maintain, and enforce Group Policies (GPOs);Implement and manage permissions bas on GPOs;Implement security best practices;Networking & InfrastructureManage network infrastructure including switches, firewalls, and routers;Troubleshoot network and server-related issues;Ensure proper documentation of network.AutomationDevelop Powershell scripts to automate tasks and integrate with internalsystems;Build procedures which utilize scripts.TroubleshootingInvestigate, troubleshoot, and resolve complex technical problems;Perform root cause analysis for production issues.SkillsMust have 3+years of experience in Proven experience as a System Administrator, Network Administrator, or similar roleMust have 3+ years of experience in Strong hands-on experience with Windows Server ***************Must have 2+ years of experience in Experience managing virtualized environmentsMust have 3+ years of experience in Solid understanding of networking, databases, and system securityMust have 3+ years of experience in Experience with backup and disaster recoveryMust have 3+ years of experience in Scripting experience (Python, Perl, PowerShell, or similar)Must have 3+ years of experience in Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detailMust have 3+ years of experience in Strong communication skills (able to explain technical concepts to non-technical users)Strong experience with large-scale infrastructure or enterprise environmentsStrong experience leading server upgrades and migrationsNice to have knowledge in Microsoft certifications (MCSA or equivalent)
