Health Broking Team Manager

Are you ready to lead projects, sharpen your consulting skills, and take your career to new heights? Want to collaborate with a dynamic and inclusive team, where your ideas are valued and your growth is encouraged? This is the next step in your career!

This is a hybrid role based in our Mexico City office. You’ll enjoy the flexibility of working both remotely and in-person after an initial training period, while building connections with global colleagues in a vibrant workspace in our Integral Capability Center

Aon is in the business of better decisions

At Aon, we shape decisions for the better to protect and enrich the lives of people around the world.

As a firm, we are united through trust as one inclusive and diverse team, and we are passionate about helping our colleagues and clients succeed.

What the day will look like

You will lead small to mid-complexity broking projects, bringing advanced technical and consulting skills while expanding your role with our Client Facing teams. You will act as a checker on projects of varying complexity and help ensure every deliverable is accurate, insightful and client ready. Projects will include renewals, requests for proposals (RFPs), plan design costings, financial results and other group insurance related deliverables. Some responsibilities include:

- Manage small to mid-complexity projects and clients, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of work within budget, starting with well-run kick-off meetings.
- Lead project kick-off calls, set and monitor project timelines, and anticipate next steps, getting them underway without being asked.
- Work independently,

directing the efforts of others through project management and managing most aspects of delivery without support.
- Review and analyze data, identifying and resolving inconsistencies.
- Review draft materials with little guidance and develop or expand commentary on results, recognizing how market trends apply to each client’s situation.
- Participate in client calls and meetings and act as a subject matter expert when needed.
- Ensure your own work and the work of analysts is complete and thorough, delegating appropriately and knowing when to bring in specialty resources (actuarial, pharmacy, wellbeing, etc.).
- Manage and mentor colleagues, providing support, training and constructive feedback to analysts, and making sure work is done at the right role level.
- Look for ways to improve efficiency while maintaining quality, innovate within client projects, and spot opportunities within deliverables in collaboration with Growth, Relationship and Delivery Lead teams.

How this opportunity is different

You will have exceptional opportunities for growth, both vertically and horizontally within our organization. As a Team Manager, you will work on assignments of diverse scope, develop conclusions from your analyses and apply them to each client’s situation, and take on more complex work with little support and review.

Your decisions will have a direct impact on our clients,

and you will have the latitude to consider whether new procedures need to be developed. You will also be encouraged to take on a significant role in internal initiatives such as training and tool development, using Aon’s proprietary tools and broking models to deliver value to our clients.

Skills and experience that will lead to success

To excel as a Health Consultant at Aon, we are looking for candidates who bring expertise, enthusiasm, and a commitment to excellence. Our colleagues have advanced technical and analytical abilities, sound judgment in selecting methodology, and a dedication to delivering high-quality results.

- A minimum of five years of experience in insurance analysis.
- Advanced technical skills and developing consultative expertise, with the ability to apply technical judgment and lessons learned from one project to another.
- Proven project management skills, including the ability to prioritize and organize work and to direct the efforts of others.
- Experience mentoring, coaching or training junior colleagues.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office software, especially Excel, and the ability to learn and use Aon’s proprietary tools.
- Strong written and verbal communication, with the ability to convey complex ideas clearly to diverse audiences and to communicate frequently, clearly and concisely with project teams and client facing teams.
- A respectful and collaborative approach, with the ability to network with peers and senior internal and external colleagues.
- English fluency at C1 Level is required

Education

An undergraduate degree, ideally in finance, mathematics, statistics, actuarial science or related fields. Postgraduate studies are an asset and will be highly regarded.
