Summit EPC is seeking an experienced Construction Estimator / Preconstruction Specialist to join our growing U.S.-based team in West Lafayette, Indiana.

We are actively recruiting qualified professionals from Mexico who are interested in relocating to the United States and advancing their careers in construction estimating, engineering, and preconstruction.

Join a growing design-build general contractor specializing in large-scale agricultural, commercial, and industrial construction projects throughout the United States.

Our projects include commercial egg production complexes, food processing facilities, agricultural buildings, livestock facilities, and industrial construction.

You'll work closely with engineering, design, project management, and construction teams to develop competitive estimates and innovative construction solutions.

What You'll Do

- Prepare construction budgets, conceptual estimates, detailed cost estimates, and project cost models
- Review engineering drawings, construction plans, and technical specifications
- Perform material quantity takeoffs and evaluate labor, equipment, and subcontractor costs
- Collaborate with engineering, preconstruction, design, and project management teams
- Obtain and analyze supplier and subcontractor pricing
- Identify value engineering opportunities and cost-saving solutions
- Maintain estimating databases and historical construction cost information
- Assist with project planning, purchasing, and construction handoffs
- Occasionally travel to project sites throughout the United States





Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or a related engineering discipline preferred
- 5+ years of experience in construction estimating, engineering, preconstruction, or project management preferred
- Experience with commercial, industrial, agricultural, or design-build construction
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and engineering specifications
- Strong knowledge of construction materials, quantities, and cost estimating
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and estimating software
- Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, or similar software is beneficial
- Strong English communication skills
- Willingness to relocate from Mexico to West Lafayette, Indiana
- Ability to meet applicable TN visa eligibility requirements
