About the Opportunity

At MezTal, we are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accounts Payable Specialist to join the accounting team of one of our U.S.-based clients in the Senior Living industry.

The idóneo candidate has strong full-cycle AP experience, excellent English communication skills, and the ability to work independently while collaborating with U.S.-based teams.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage the full accounts payable cycle, from invoice processing to payments and reconciliations.
- Review, code, and process vendor invoices, ensuring accuracy and proper approvals.
- Perform two-way and three-way invoice matching when applicable.
- Prepare vendor payments and resolve payment discrepancies.
- Reconcile vendor statements, AP balances, and aging reports.
- Maintain accurate vendor records and respond to vendor inquiries.
- Support month-end closing, including AP reconciliations and accruals.
- Collaborate with U.S.-based accounting teams to ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Identify opportunities to improve AP processes and efficiency.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (required).
- Strong experience managing full-cycle Accounts Payable (required).
- Advanced English proficiency,



written and spoken (required).
- Previous experience working with U.S.-based companies or accounting teams (required).
- Solid understanding of accounting principles, vendor reconciliations, and payment processes.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills and experience with accounting software or ERP systems.
- Excellent attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage deadlines, and communicate proactively.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience managing AP for multiple entities or locations.
- Knowledge of US GAAP and month-end closing processes.
- Experience in Senior Living, Healthcare, or Real Estate.
- Experience improving accounting processes.
