As a Purchasing Specialist at Seco Tools Mexico, you will be reporting directly to our Purchasing Manager Mexico (Ramos Arizpe & Queretaro), and will be responsible for strategically sourcing and purchasing indirect & direct materials, and services, to support our operations, ensuring cost-effectiveness, quality, and timely delivery. You'll be located at our Ramos Arizpe facility.

Job Responsibilities:

Manage the end-to-end procurement process, from supplier selection and negotiation to contract management and performance monitoring.

Develop and implement procurement strategies to optimize costs and improve efficiency across various categories.

Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers, assess their capabilities, and ensure compliance with Sandvik's standards.

Negotiate favorable terms and conditions with suppliers, including pricing, delivery schedules, and payment terms.

Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, including engineering, production, and finance, to understand their procurement needs and ensure alignment with business objectives.

Monitor supplier performance, address any issues or discrepancies, and foster strong, long-term relationships.

Ensure compliance with company policies, purchasing procedures, and relevant legal and ethical standards.





Analyze purchasing data for our KPI's and generate reports to identify trends, opportunities for improvement, and cost savings initiatives.

Participate in cross-functional projects aimed at optimizing supply chain processes and enhancing overall operational efficiency.

Job Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.

Proven experience (3+ years) in a procurement, purchasing, or supply chain role, preferably within a manufacturing or industrial environment.

Strong negotiation and communication skills with the ability to build and maintain effective supplier relationships.

Knowledge of Foreign trade and Customs. (Import Export).

Solid understanding of procurement best practices, contract law, and supply chain principles.

Proficiency in using ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and other procurement software.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Fluency in English and Spanish is highly desirable.
