APPLICATIONS ENGINEER

Purpose:

The position of Applications Engineer. is appointed by and reports directly to the Engineering Manager. This position, working with Zone Managers / Sales supervisors, is responsible for the successful development and growth of the market according to the corporate strategy. This position will act as lead person in the applications function. In that capacity, this position will conduct testing of core products, develop process, documentation of testing and follow-up of testing opportunities.

Essential Functions:

A. Develop and promote a corporate Strategy to pursue application market and monitor the implementation

of the results through the regions

B. Transfer the Marketing Strategy for the region

C. Work closely with the Sales Manager / Sales Supervisors by assisting with:

- Establishing Priorities
- Defining Objectives
- Measuring results
- Providing monthly reports detailing recent results and upcoming opportunities

D. Report to management and achieve results by:

- Recognizing and assessing Market trends
- Identify potential target accounts
- Suggest Standard product additions
- Participate in Workshops and meetings as required
- Cooperate with Specials department when required Education

E. Day to Day activities include:

- Testing core products at end users’ sites with or in support of our local FSE
- Documenting test results on a Walter test report and circulating the results to the appropriate people.
- Follow-up of testing opportunities to ensure the accuracy of the data




- Responsible for training of FSE’s
- Work with Engineering to help design processes and projects

Other Responsibilities:

- A. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by Engineering Manager
- B. Prepare reports and presentations regarding the progress of projects.
- C. Define process and best practices
- D. Develop opportunities and pursue results

Qualifications (Skills, Knowledge, Abilities, Behaviors):

- Five years’ experience in Tooling industry
- Experienced in metal working industries
- Willingness to travel
- Solid communication Skills, both Oral and written
- Proficient in Excel, Word and Power Point
