Tenant Law Group has fought for California tenants since 2016. We are a plaintiff-side firm that represents tenants in habitability, wrongful eviction, and other landlord-tenant cases. Our team works remotely across the US and Latin America and is built around clear systems, accountability, and modern tools, including AI.

The Role

We're hiring a remote Paralegal to support one of our attorneys in prosecuting contingency tenant cases from intake through litigation. You will manage your own portfolio of cases, act as the main point of contact for clients, and draft the documents that move cases toward resolution. All of your work is supervised by a California-licensed attorney.

What You'll Do

- Manage a portfolio of active cases and keep them moving on schedule under firm procedures

- Draft letters of representation, demand letters, complaints, summonses, case filing sheets, and mediation briefs for attorney review

- Prepare offers to compromise and support cases in active litigation

- Communicate directly with clients in writing and by phone (no legal advice), including monthly status updates

- Track deadlines, statutes of limitations, and case milestones in our calendaring system

- Request records from third parties and assist with lien resolution

- Keep matter information and daily time entries current in Clio Manage

- Join a daily team huddle and weekly team meetings during Pacific Time business hours

What We're Looking For

- Strongly preferred:



Law degree from Mexico (Licenciatura en Derecho) and a cédula profesional

- Required: Paralegal or legal assistant experience in US civil litigation

- Strongly preferred: California litigation experience (California civil procedure, court filings, and deadlines)

- Full professional fluency in written and spoken English

- Excellent writing, proofreading, and organizational skills

- Ability to work independently and handle high volume and tight deadlines

- Proficiency with Microsoft 365 (Word, Outlook, Excel, Teams, OneDrive)

- Experience with Clio Manage, Zoom Phone, and AI tools such as Claude is a plus

- Reliable high-speed internet and a quiet, private workspace

- Availability during Pacific Time business hours

- A real commitment to tenant rights

Compensation

- $1,900 USD per month (the peso amount shown on this post is an approximate conversion)

- Fully remote
