MUFG Mexico is seeking an experienced and strategic Director of Infrastructure & Platforms to lead the design, operation, modernization, and governance of the Bank’s technology infrastructure environment. This role is responsible for defining and executing the infrastructure strategy, technology roadmap, and investment priorities across networking, telecommunications, cloud services, data centers, servers, storage, databases, middleware, end-user computing, and platform services, ensuring alignment with business objectives, regulatory requirements, and global technology standards. The Director will drive infrastructure transformation initiatives focused on resilience, security, scalability, automation, and operational excellence. This position will lead the adoption of modern infrastructure and platform engineering practices, including hybrid cloud architectures, infrastructure automation, virtualization, observability, and Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC), while ensuring that critical banking services remain secure, highly available, and compliant with regulatory and corporate requirements. Working closely with business leaders, application development teams, Information Security, Risk Management, Architecture, and regional and general technology organizations, this individual will oversee infrastructure governance, strategic technology investments, vendor relationships, service delivery, and engineering resources. The role will also provide leadership in strengthening operational resiliency, reducing technology risk, supporting regulatory and audit initiatives, managing disaster recovery and business continuity programs, and building a high-performing infrastructure organization focused on stability, innovation, and business enablement. Key Qualifications
• Proven leadership experience in infrastructure engineering, platform services, cloud operations, network engineering,



or technology operations within banking services.
• Strong knowledge of enterprise infrastructure technologies, including networks, telecommunications, cloud platforms, data centers, servers, storage, databases, middleware, virtualization, and operating systems.
• Experience leading infrastructure modernization, cloud adoption, data center transformation, automation, and large-scale technology transformation initiatives.
• Solid understanding of infrastructure architecture, operational resiliency, disaster recovery, business continuity, capacity management, cybersecurity, technology risk, and infrastructure lifecycle management.
• Experience supporting mission-critical technology environments in highly regulated industries.
• Experience managing infrastructure portfolios, technology investments, strategic vendors, managed service providers, and engineering teams.
• Strong stakeholder management, communication, and business partnership skills, with the ability to operate effectively across local, regional, and global organizations.
• Advanced English and Spanish proficiency is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field. Preferred Experience
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS and/or Azure), Infrastructure-as-Code, automation, monitoring, and observability solutions.
• Banking technology experience supporting payments, core banking, transaction banking, treasury, lending, financial markets, or regulatory platforms.
• Experience implementing infrastructure resiliency, cyber recovery, disaster recovery, and operational risk management programs.
• Familiarity with platform engineering, containerization technologies, Kubernetes, DevOps practices, and modern infrastructure operating models.
• Relevant cloud, infrastructure, networking, or cybersecurity certifications.
