About the role
Strategically manage the sourcing and procurement of materials, components, and services to ensure business continuity while optimizing total cost, quality, inventory levels, and service performance. Lead negotiations with key suppliers, drive productivity initiatives, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to support the company's financial and operational objectives.

Key Responsibilities
* Procurement and Supply Management
* Manage the procurement of assigned direct materials, indirect materials, and/or services.
* Monitor and execute supply plans to prevent shortages and minimize excess inventory.
* Manage purchase orders and ensure compliance with supplier delivery commitments.
* Evaluate supplier performance through quality, delivery, cost, and service metrics.
* Identify dual-sourcing opportunities and implement supply risk mitigation strategies.
* Monitoring of supplier payment processing.Negotiation and Productivity* Lead negotiations for pricing, contracts, and commercial terms.
* Participate in new product introduction projects and/or material
- engineering change initiatives.
* Inventory Management
* Collaborate with Planning and Operations teams to optimize inventory levels.
* Drive initiatives to reduce obsolete and slow-moving inventory.
* Participate in reviews of planning parameters such as safety stock, MOQ (Minimum Order Quantity), and supplier lead times.
* Cross-Functional Collaboration
* Work closely with Planning, Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, Finance, and Logistics teams.




* Support supply escalation activities and crisis management efforts.
* Participate in continuous improvement and supply chain transformation initiatives. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)* Annual cost savings and cost avoidance.
* Supplier On-Time Delivery (OTD) performance.
* Inventory reduction and slow-moving inventory management.
* Supplier lead-time performance.
* Supplier quality metrics (PPM, claims, and corrective actions).
* Contract and commercial agreement compliance. Qualifications* Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, International Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
* 5 to 8 years of experience in purchasing, sourcing, or procurement.
* Knowledge of material planning and inventory management.
* Experience in manufacturing, automotive, electronics, or industrial environments, as applicable.
* Technical Knowledge
* Procurement and Strategic Sourcing.
* Commercial negotiation and contract management.
* Supply Chain Management.
* Inventory management.
* ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, JDE, or similar).
* Advanced Excel and data analysis skills. Additional Senior-Level Responsibilities* Lead critical spend categories for the organization.
* Serve as a mentor and coach to junior buyers and purchasing specialists.
* Lead regional and general productivity initiatives.
* Present sourcing strategies and procurement results to management and senior leadership.
* Define and implement supply chain risk mitigation strategies.#
