New Maquiladora in Mexicali:

This Finance position is directly involved in cost accounting and collaborates with plant management to ensure reliable product costing, while supporting the accounting close process, budgeting, forecasting, and operational decision-making.

A solid background in general accounting is required to provide support to the accounting team.

Key responsibilities include:

- Cost accounting and standard costing;
- Analysis of manufacturing variances and support for Operations
- Inventory accounting, valuation, and control;
- Accounting close, financial reporting, and planning;
- Capital investments and business analysis;
- Plant start-ups, production transfers,
- Odoo implementation;
- Internal controls, compliance, and audits;

and the coordination of activities and continuous improvement.

Requirements:

- Proficiency in both English and Spanish (spoken and written),
- Ability to travel regularly between Mexicali and Anaheim. VISA, PASSPORT




- Proven experience in standard costing, inventory valuation, manufacturing variances, cost of goods sold (COGS), budgeting, forecasting, and margin analysis.
- Understanding of manufacturing processes, bills of materials, routings, work centers, production orders, overhead allocation, labor rates, and machine rates.
- At least 5 years of experience in manufacturing, maquiladoras cost accounting, inventory accounting, or plant finance, including direct experience with general accounting and month-end closing processes.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field, with a solid foundation in accounting.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience with Odoo, SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards, or a comparable manufacturing ERP.
