Shape Corp. Mexico is looking for a Sr. Buyer with solid automotive industry experience and a strong background in steel, stampings, metals, or complex direct materials.

What you’ll do:

? Lead strategic sourcing activities and supplier selection through RFQs and comparative analysis.

? Manage supplier negotiations, cost analysis, benchmarking, and cost-reduction initiatives.

? Develop and maintain a competitive supplier base focused on cost, quality, innovation, and delivery.

? Support new product launches and engineering changes, ensuring supplier readiness for SOP.

? Identify and mitigate supply risks while supporting business continuity.

? Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Operations, Finance, and Program Management teams.

? Manage key purchasing objectives including PPV and VAVE.

What we’re looking for:





✅ 7+ years of Purchasing/Procurement experience

✅ Automotive industry background

✅ Experience with steel, stampings, metals, or complex direct materials

✅ Strategic Sourcing & Supplier Negotiation experience

✅ Cost Analysis, TCO, benchmarking & cost reduction experience

✅ Supplier Development & Risk Management

✅ APQP / PPAP / SOP knowledge

✅ Advanced English

✅ ERP/MRP experience, preferably Plex, SAP, or similar
