Role Description This Independent Consultant – Manufacturing Shop Floor Manager role is a contract position based on-site in Mexicali, BCN. The consultant will focus on turning around shop floor operations, including improving production schedules, monitoring workflow, and ensuring alignment with quality, safety, and efficiency standards.

Responsibilities include evaluating shop floor teams, identifying operational bottlenecks, implementing process improvements, and tracking key performance indicators. The role involves collaborating with leadership and cross-functional teams to resolve issues, optimize equipment utilization, and maintain accurate production documentation. The consultant will also support continuous improvement initiatives, drive adherence to manufacturing best practices, and provide clear, data-informed reporting to stakeholders.





We need someone who has proven experience coming into the manufacturing floor and fixing the current state issues.

Qualifications

- Experience turning around manufacturing shop floor operations, including production planning, workflow coordination, and team supervision.
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality standards, and safety regulations, with a track record of implementing operational improvements.
- Ability to analyze production data, use basic data analytics tools, and translate findings into actionable recommendations.
- Proficient in documenting procedures, preparing reports, and maintaining accurate records related to production and performance metrics.
- Effective communication and leadership skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and guide frontline staff.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently as a consultant, manage priorities, and adapt to dynamic shop floor conditions.
- Relevant technical or engineering degree, or equivalent practical experience in manufacturing management.
