Accountant – Shared Services

Position Summary

The Accountant is responsible for executing accounting activities within the Shared Services organization, ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with corporate policies, internal controls, and applicable accounting standards. This role supports multiple entities/business units and collaborates with local finance teams, auditors, and corporate stakeholders in a dynamic international environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and month-end close activities.
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of general ledger transactions.
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations and resolve outstanding items timely.
- Support financial reporting activities in accordance with company policies and accounting standards.
- Analyze financial information and identify variances or unusual transactions.
- Maintain compliance with internal controls, SOX requirements, and audit requests.
- Coordinate and support internal and external audit activities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including AP, AR, Payroll, Tax, and local finance teams.
- Participate in process improvement and standardization initiatives within Shared Services.
- Assist in transition activities, documentation of processes, and continuous improvement projects.
- Support ERP system activities and reporting tools.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior accounting staff when required.

Qualifications





- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 2-4 years of accounting experience, preferably within Shared Services or multinational companies.
- Strong knowledge of General Ledger, month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
- Experience working with ERP systems (SAP / Oracle preferred).
- Advanced Excel skills.
- Knowledge of US GAAP and/or IFRS preferred.
- Experience in process improvement and standardization initiatives is a plus.

Language Requirement

- Advanced English is mandatory (spoken and written).
- Ability to participate in meetings, prepare reports, and communicate effectively with integral stakeholders.

Reporting Line

Reports directly to the Accounting Manager / Finance Director within the Shared Services organization.
