About the Role Our client seeks a knowledgeable Especialista en Riego Eficiente y Gestión del Agua to optimize water usage across its agricultural holdings in Saltillo, Coahuila . This role is critical for ensuring sustainable water management practices, improving crop yields through precise irrigation, and reducing operational costs. The idóneo candidate will have a strong understanding of hydro-engineering principles, modern irrigation technologies, and water resource management strategies. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and monitoring irrigation systems, as well as advising on water conservation techniques. This position requires a blend of technical expertise and practical application in the field, contributing to the company's commitment to environmental stewardship.
Key Responsibilities Design, install, and maintain efficient irrigation systems (drip, sprinkler, etc.) suitable for various crops and soil types.
Develop comprehensive water management plans to ensure optimal water application and conservation.
Monitor soil moisture levels, weather patterns, and crop water requirements to adjust irrigation schedules accordingly.
Analyze water usage data to identify areas for improvement and cost savings.
Evaluate and recommend new irrigation technologies and water-saving practices.
Ensure compliance with local water regulations and environmental standards.
Troubleshoot and repair irrigation system malfunctions to minimize downtime.
Collaborate with agronomists and farm managers to integrate irrigation strategies with overall crop production plans.




Conduct training sessions for field staff on the proper operation and maintenance of irrigation equipment.
Maintain records of water usage, system performance, and implemented improvements.
Assess water sources and quality for agricultural use.
Requirements Bachelor's degree in Agricultural Engineering, Civil Engineering (with water management specialization), Agronomy, or a related field.
Minimum of 4 years of experience in irrigation system design, implementation, and management.
Proven expertise in various irrigation techniques and water-saving technologies.
Strong understanding of soil-plant-water relationships and crop water needs.
Knowledge of hydro-geology and water resource management principles is a plus.
Experience with water management software and data analysis tools.
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues.
Good communication and interpersonal skills for effective teamwork and training.
Familiarity with agricultural practices and water challenges in the region of Coahuila.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team, often involving fieldwork in Saltillo and surrounding areas.
Proficiency in CAD or other design software for irrigation systems is an advantage.
