Key Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive assessments of older adults' functional abilities, cognitive status, and home environments in Aguascalientes .
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to improve daily living activities (ADLs) and instrumental activities of daily living (IADLs).
Provide therapeutic interventions to enhance fine motor skills, gross motor skills, cognitive function, and psychosocial well-being.
Educate patients and their families on adaptive equipment, home modifications, and energy conservation techniques.
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
Monitor patient progress,



adjust treatment plans as needed, and document all interventions and outcomes accurately.
Facilitate group therapy sessions and social activities to promote engagement and reduce isolation.
Recommend and trial adaptive equipment and assistive technology to maximize patient independence.
Advocate for the needs of geriatric patients within the healthcare system and community.
Stay current with the latest advancements and best practices in geriatric occupational therapy.
Requirements Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution.
Licensed or eligible for licensure as an Occupational Therapist in Mexico.
Minimum of 3 years of experience specializing in geriatric rehabilitation or geriatrics.
Strong knowledge of common conditions affecting older adults (e.g., arthritis, stroke, dementia, Parkinson's disease).
Proficiency in therapeutic assessment tools and intervention strategies for the geriatric population.
Excellent clinical reasoning, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with elderly patients and their families.
Patience, empathy, and a genuine commitment to improving the lives of seniors.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Familiarity with resources for seniors in Aguascalientes is a plus.
