About the Role Our client, a major industrial construction firm, is seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Cost and Estimating Engineer to join their team in Ciudad Juárez, Chihuahua. This role is essential for accurately forecasting, managing, and controlling project costs, ensuring profitability and financial success. The adecuado candidate will have a strong background in cost engineering, construction estimating, and financial analysis within the industrial sector. You will be responsible for preparing detailed cost estimates, analyzing project expenditures, and identifying cost-saving opportunities. Key Responsibilities Develop accurate and comprehensive cost estimates for various construction projects, including labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractors. Analyze project plans, specifications, and scope of work to identify all cost factors. Prepare detailed bids and proposals for potential projects. Monitor project costs throughout the construction lifecycle, tracking expenditures against budget. Identify potential cost overruns and implement corrective actions to manage budgets effectively. Perform variance analysis and provide regular cost reports to project management. Collaborate with project managers, procurement,



and engineering teams to ensure cost control measures are implemented. Research and stay updated on market costs for materials, labor, and equipment. Contribute to value engineering efforts to identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or scope. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, or Industrial) or a related field. Minimum of 7 years of experience in cost engineering, estimating, or project controls, preferably in industrial construction. Strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and market pricing. Proficiency in estimating software (e.g., HCSS Heavy Bid, Cost X) and MS Excel. Excellent analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting. Good communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with various teams. Ability to manage multiple estimates and deadlines simultaneously. Experience working in a hybrid environment, balancing site visits with office-based analysis.
