About the Role Our client is seeking a dynamic and forward-thinking Asesor Legal para Startups y Tecnología to provide specialized legal services to emerging companies and technology firms. This role, operating entirely remotely, will focus on areas such as intellectual property, data privacy, venture capital, and commercial agreements crucial for the tech industry. The adecuado candidate will be passionate about innovation and possess a strong understanding of the unique legal challenges faced by startups. Key Responsibilities Advise startups on company formation, corporate governance, and fundraising. Handle intellectual property matters, including patent, trademark, and copyright protection. Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, Mexican data protection laws). Draft and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements, including Saa S agreements, licensing, and partnership agreements. Provide legal support for mergers, acquisitions, and exit strategies. Assist clients in navigating regulatory requirements specific to the technology sector. Conduct legal research and provide strategic advice on emerging legal issues in technology.



Manage client relationships and deliver timely, practical legal solutions. Stay abreast of technological advancements and their legal implications relevant to clients in Mexicali. Requirements Law degree from a reputable university. Admitted to practice law in Mexico. Minimum of 5 years of experience, with a significant focus on technology law, startups, intellectual property, or venture capital. Strong knowledge of contract law, IP law, and data privacy regulations. Excellent drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills. Proven ability to communicate complex legal concepts clearly and concisely in Spanish. Experience working with or advising startups and technology companies. Must be highly self-motivated, organized, and adept at remote work. Familiarity with the tech landscape relevant to regions like Baja California is a plus.
