About the Role

Our client, a key player in the manufacturing sector, is seeking a specialized Cost and Budget Specialist to join their finance department in Tuxtla Gutiérrez, Chiapas . This role is crucial for managing and analyzing production costs, developing accurate budgets, and providing insights to improve profitability. The adecuado candidate will have a strong analytical mindset, a deep understanding of cost accounting principles, and experience in budget management within an industrial context. This position offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on the company's financial performance by identifying cost-saving opportunities and optimizing resource allocation. The role is based in our client's facility in Tuxtla Gutiérrez , requiring full-time presence.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop, implement, and manage annual budgets and forecasts.
- Analyze manufacturing costs, including direct materials, direct labor, and overhead.
- Track and analyze variances between actual costs and budget/standard costs.
- Implement and maintain cost accounting systems and procedures.
- Prepare regular reports on costs, budgets, and financial performance for management.
- Identify opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency improvements in production processes.
- Assist in inventory valuation and control.
- Collaborate with production and operations teams to gather cost data and understand operational drivers.
- Support the development of pricing strategies based on cost analysis.




- Ensure the accuracy and integrity of cost and budget data.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in cost accounting, budgeting, or financial analysis, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of cost accounting principles and methodologies.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions, modeling, and data analysis.
- Experience with ERP systems and cost management software.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with various departments.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Residency or willingness to relocate to Tuxtla Gutiérrez, Chiapas.
