About the Role

Our client, a dynamic startup in the tourism sector, is seeking a versatile Financial Accounting Advisor to provide expert guidance and support for their operations in Acapulco, Guerrero . This role is critical for establishing sound financial practices, ensuring compliance, and supporting strategic growth. The advisor will be responsible for evaluating financial performance, recommending improvements, and assisting with financial planning and reporting. We are looking for an independent, results-oriented professional with a broad understanding of accounting and financial principles. This is a contract position, offering flexibility with a hybrid work arrangement, allowing for remote work with periodic on-site meetings in Acapulco as needed.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide expert advice on accounting principles, financial reporting, and best practices.
- Assist in the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures.
- Review financial statements and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Advise on budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
- Ensure compliance with relevant tax regulations and statutory requirements.
- Support in the preparation of financial reports for stakeholders.
- Evaluate and recommend improvements to financial systems and processes.
- Assist in managing relationships with banks and other financial institutions.




- Offer guidance on financial aspects of business strategy and decision-making.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, financial analysis, or advisory roles.
- Strong knowledge of Mexican accounting standards (NIF) and tax laws.
- Proven ability to analyze financial data and provide actionable insights.
- Excellent problem-solving and strategic thinking skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex financial concepts clearly.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects effectively.
- Experience working with startups or in the tourism sector is a plus.
- Ability to travel to Acapulco, Guerrero for on-site consultations as required by the hybrid model.
