About the Role

Our client is actively seeking an accomplished and results-oriented Jefe de Operaciones de Producción Petrolera to lead their expanding operations in León, Guanajuato . This pivotal role demands strategic leadership and hands-on management of all aspects of oil and gas production, ensuring maximum output, operational efficiency, and stringent safety standards. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing field operations, managing budgets, and implementing innovative strategies to enhance productivity and sustainability in the hidrocarburos sector. Key Responsibilities

- Overseeing all day-to-day production operations within assigned fields in the hidrocarburos sector.
- Developing and executing strategic production plans to meet or exceed output targets.
- Managing operational budgets, controlling costs, and ensuring efficient resource allocation.
- Implementing and enforcing strict health, safety, and environmental (HSE) policies and procedures.
- Leading, motivating, and managing a team of field supervisors, engineers, and operational staff.
- Monitoring equipment performance and coordinating maintenance activities to minimize downtime.
- Analyzing production data and implementing strategies for performance improvement and reservoir management.
- Ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
- Collaborating with exploration, drilling, and reservoir engineering teams to optimize field development and production.
- Reporting on operational performance, challenges,



and opportunities to senior management.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- An advanced degree or relevant certifications are highly desirable.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in oil and gas production operations, with at least 5 years in a supervisory or management capacity.
- Demonstrated experience in managing large-scale production facilities and diverse teams.
- In-depth knowledge of production equipment, artificial lift systems, and well intervention techniques.
- Strong understanding of reservoir engineering principles and production optimization strategies.
- Proven track record in HSE management and regulatory compliance within the hidrocarburos industry.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and team-building skills.
- Proficiency in production management software and data analysis tools.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and make sound decisions in critical situations.
- Readiness to be based in or near León, Guanajuato , with potential for field visits.
