About the Role

Our client, a prominent player in the construction and engineering industry, is seeking an experienced Head of Structural Projects to lead their structural engineering division in Monterrey, Nuevo León. This senior role requires a deep understanding of structural design principles, project management, and team leadership. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the structural integrity of major construction projects, ensuring compliance with the highest engineering standards and regulatory requirements. You will guide a team of structural engineers, manage project lifecycles, and collaborate with various stakeholders to deliver safe, efficient, and innovative structural solutions. Key Responsibilities

Lead the structural engineering team in the design, analysis, and implementation of structural systems for diverse construction projects. Develop and review structural designs, ensuring compliance with national and international building codes and standards. Oversee the structural aspects of project planning, budgeting, and scheduling. Manage the selection and coordination of structural materials and systems. Ensure the structural integrity and safety of all projects from conception to completion. Provide technical expertise and guidance to project teams, clients,



and contractors. Conduct structural assessments and feasibility studies for new and existing structures. Manage relationships with clients, consultants, and regulatory bodies. Stay abreast of the latest advancements in structural engineering technology and best practices.

Requirements

Master's degree in Structural Engineering or Civil Engineering with a specialization in Structures. Minimum of 12 years of relevant experience in structural engineering, with a strong emphasis on project leadership. Professional Engineer (PE) or equivalent license is mandatory. Proven experience in managing large-scale structural projects, including high-rise buildings, industrial facilities, and infrastructure. Expertise in structural analysis software (e.g., ETABS, SAP2000, STAAD.
Pro) and design codes (e.g., ACI, AISC, NMX). Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills. Strong leadership, communication, and team management abilities. Fluency in Spanish and proficiency in English.
