About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled Especialista en Maquinaria Agrícola y Mantenimiento Preventivo to ensure the optimal performance and longevity of their extensive fleet of agricultural machinery in Mexicali, Baja California . This role is vital for minimizing downtime, reducing repair costs, and maximizing operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will possess in-depth knowledge of various types of farm equipment, diagnostic tools, and preventive maintenance strategies. You will be responsible for developing and executing maintenance schedules, overseeing repairs, and ensuring the safety and reliability of all machinery. This hands-on position requires a strong technical aptitude and a commitment to proactive upkeep.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and implement comprehensive preventive maintenance programs for all agricultural machinery (tractors, harvesters, implements, etc.).
- Perform regular inspections, diagnostics, and servicing of equipment to identify and address potential issues before they cause breakdowns.
- Execute timely and efficient repairs on machinery, utilizing appropriate tools and techniques.
- Maintain detailed records of all maintenance activities, repairs, parts used, and costs incurred.
- Manage inventory of spare parts and supplies, ensuring availability for routine maintenance and emergency repairs.
- Stay updated on the latest advancements in agricultural machinery technology and maintenance best practices.
- Ensure all machinery operates safely and in compliance with relevant regulations.
- Train equipment operators on proper machine usage, basic maintenance checks, and safety procedures.




- Collaborate with suppliers and service providers for specialized repairs or parts procurement.
- Analyze equipment performance data to identify trends and opportunities for optimizing maintenance strategies.
- Oversee workshop operations and ensure a clean and organized work environment.

Requirements

- Technical degree or certification in Agricultural Mechanics, Automotive Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience specifically in the maintenance and repair of agricultural machinery.
- Proven expertise in diagnosing and repairing a wide range of farm equipment, including engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems.
- Strong understanding of preventive maintenance principles and their application in an agricultural setting.
- Proficiency with diagnostic tools, specialized equipment, and repair manuals.
- Excellent mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
- Good organizational skills for record-keeping and inventory management.
