About the Role

This is a fully remote opportunity for a highly experienced Superintendente de Planta Procesadora de Minerales . Our client, a global mining conglomerate, is seeking a leader to oversee the operational efficiency and technical performance of its mineral processing facilities from a remote management perspective. You will be responsible for optimizing metallurgical processes, ensuring product quality, managing plant operations teams, and driving continuous improvement initiatives across various sites. This role demands strong leadership, technical acumen in metallurgy and mineral processing, and excellent remote management skills. You will work closely with on-site operations managers and technical staff to achieve production targets and maintain the highest standards of safety and environmental performance. The ability to remotely supervise and guide complex operational processes is key.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and implement strategies to optimize mineral processing plant throughput, recovery, and product quality.
- Oversee the operational performance of multiple processing plants, ensuring they meet production and cost targets.
- Manage budgets for plant operations, maintenance, and consumables.
- Lead and mentor on-site plant managers and superintendents, fostering a culture of safety and performance.
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives, identifying and implementing process enhancements and cost-saving measures.




- Oversee maintenance strategies and ensure the reliability of plant equipment.
- Analyze process data and performance metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with engineering and technical teams on plant upgrades and new installations.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Metallurgical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in mineral processing operations, with at least 5 years in a senior management or superintendent role.
- Extensive knowledge of various mineral processing techniques (e.g., flotation, leaching, crushing, grinding).
- Proven experience in remote team management and supervision.
- Strong understanding of process control, automation, and data analysis.
- Excellent financial acumen and experience managing large operational budgets.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop teams.
- Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Fluent in Spanish and proficient in English.
