About the Role

Our client, a global leader in the renewable energy sector, is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Civil Engineer with a specialization in renewable energy projects. This role is crucial for the successful planning, design, and execution of large-scale solar and wind farm projects. Based remotely, you will collaborate with international teams, focusing on site selection, foundation design, infrastructure development, and construction oversight for renewable energy installations. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of geotechnical engineering, structural analysis, site grading, and drainage design as they apply to renewable energy infrastructure. Key Responsibilities

- Lead civil engineering aspects of renewable energy projects, including site assessment, layout, and infrastructure design.
- Design foundations for solar panel arrays, wind turbines, and associated electrical equipment.
- Develop site grading, drainage, and access road designs to support project construction and operation.
- Conduct geotechnical investigations and analyze results to inform foundation design.
- Ensure designs comply with all relevant international and local building codes and environmental regulations.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including electrical engineers, environmental specialists, and construction managers.




- Manage civil engineering contracts and oversee the work of external consultants and contractors.
- Perform site visits and construction inspections as required, potentially involving travel.
- Prepare technical reports, design documents, specifications, and cost estimates.
- Contribute to project planning, scheduling, and risk management for civil works.

Requirements

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering.
- Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in civil engineering, with a focus on renewable energy projects (solar, wind).
- Proven experience in foundation design for large structures, including geotechnical considerations.
- Proficiency in civil design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D, GIS) and structural analysis tools.
- Strong understanding of site development, grading, drainage, and earthworks design.
- Excellent project management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience working in a remote team environment and managing projects globally.
- Familiarity with international standards and best practices in renewable energy infrastructure.
- Ability to travel internationally as needed for site assessments and project oversight.
