About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled Ingeniero de Mantenimiento de Equipos de Minería for their operations in Morelia, Michoacán, MX. This role is crucial for ensuring the reliability and optimal performance of heavy mining machinery and processing equipment. You will be responsible for developing and implementing preventive and corrective maintenance strategies, managing maintenance teams, and optimizing maintenance budgets. This position offers a hybrid work arrangement, blending on-site supervision with potential for remote administrative tasks. The idóneo candidate will have extensive experience with large mining equipment, a strong understanding of maintenance best practices, and excellent leadership skills. Ensuring minimal downtime and maximum operational efficiency is key to this role.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and execute comprehensive preventive and predictive maintenance programs for mining equipment (e.g., excavators, haul trucks, crushers, mills).
- Oversee the scheduling and execution of corrective maintenance activities.
- Manage a team of maintenance technicians and supervisors.
- Control maintenance budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness and efficient resource allocation.
- Analyze equipment failure data to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety,



and environmental regulations related to maintenance operations.
- Collaborate with procurement to manage spare parts inventory and supplier relationships.
- Implement and utilize CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) effectively.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the maintenance department.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in maintenance, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role within the mining industry.
- Strong knowledge of heavy mining equipment and associated maintenance procedures.
- Experience with CMMS software and diagnostic tools.
- Proven ability to manage budgets and control costs.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with safety regulations in mining environments.
- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid model, with willingness to be on-site as needed.
- Fluent in Spanish; English proficiency is an advantage.
