About the Role

Our client is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Especialista en Ciberamenazas y Respuesta a Incidentes to join their growing security operations center (SOC) located in Aguascalientes, Aguascalientes, MX . This role is crucial for identifying, analyzing, and mitigating cyber threats before they can impact the business. You will be at the forefront of defending against sophisticated attacks, conducting deep-dive investigations, and developing strategies to enhance our client's security posture. Key Responsibilities

- Monitor security alerts and events from various sources (SIEM, IDS/IPS, EDR).
- Analyze security incidents to determine scope, impact, and root cause.
- Develop and execute incident response plans and procedures.
- Perform threat hunting and proactive identification of malicious activities.
- Conduct forensic analysis of compromised systems and networks.
- Create detailed incident reports and provide recommendations for remediation.
- Collaborate with internal teams to implement security controls and improve defenses.
- Stay updated on the latest threat intelligence, attack vectors, and malware trends.




- Participate in security tabletop exercises and simulations.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Security Operations Center (SOC) or incident response role.
- Proven experience with SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar), EDR solutions, and network analysis tools.
- Strong understanding of common attack techniques, malware, and threat actors.
- Familiarity with forensic investigation methodologies and tools.
- Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple incidents simultaneously.
- Good written and verbal communication skills in Spanish.
- Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CEH, or GCIH are a plus.
