About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated Agrónomo Especialista en Manejo Integrado de Cultivos to contribute to sustainable and productive farming operations in Morelia, Michoacán . This role focuses on optimizing crop health, yield, and quality through the implementation of holistic management strategies that consider environmental, economic, and social factors. The adecuado candidate will possess a strong understanding of agronomy, plant physiology, pest and disease management, and soil science. You will work closely with farm managers and staff to develop and execute tailored crop management plans, ensuring the long-term viability and success of agricultural activities. This position requires a proactive approach and a commitment to innovative agricultural practices.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and implement integrated crop management (ICM) plans for various agricultural products.
- Monitor crop development, soil conditions, pest and disease incidence, and environmental factors.
- Provide expert recommendations on planting, fertilization, irrigation, pest control, and harvesting strategies.
- Integrate biological, chemical, and cultural control methods for effective pest and disease management.
- Advise on soil health improvement techniques and nutrient management.
- Evaluate crop performance and analyze data to identify areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with farm teams to ensure effective implementation of management plans.
- Stay updated on agricultural research, new technologies,



and best practices in crop management.
- Ensure compliance with relevant agricultural regulations and sustainability standards.
- Conduct field trials and experiments to test new approaches and validate findings.
- Educate and train farm personnel on ICM principles and practices.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Agronomy, Agricultural Science, Horticulture, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in crop management, with a strong focus on integrated approaches.
- Solid understanding of plant physiology, soil science, entomology, and plant pathology.
- Experience in developing and applying integrated pest and disease management strategies.
- Familiarity with sustainable agriculture principles and practices.
- Good analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to collect and interpret field data effectively.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with diverse teams.
- Knowledge of local crops and agricultural challenges in the Michoacán region is an asset.
- Willingness to conduct fieldwork in various conditions around Morelia .
