About the Role

Our client, a major industrial construction firm, is seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Cost and Estimating Engineer to join their team in Ciudad Juárez, Chihuahua . This role is essential for accurately forecasting, managing, and controlling project costs, ensuring profitability and financial success. The idóneo candidate will have a strong background in cost engineering, construction estimating, and financial analysis within the industrial sector. You will be responsible for preparing detailed cost estimates, analyzing project expenditures, and identifying cost-saving opportunities. Key Responsibilities

- Develop accurate and comprehensive cost estimates for various construction projects, including labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractors.
- Analyze project plans, specifications, and scope of work to identify all cost factors.
- Prepare detailed bids and proposals for potential projects.
- Monitor project costs throughout the construction lifecycle, tracking expenditures against budget.
- Identify potential cost overruns and implement corrective actions to manage budgets effectively.
- Perform variance analysis and provide regular cost reports to project management.
- Collaborate with project managers, procurement,



and engineering teams to ensure cost control measures are implemented.
- Research and stay updated on market costs for materials, labor, and equipment.
- Contribute to value engineering efforts to identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or scope.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, or Industrial) or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in cost engineering, estimating, or project controls, preferably in industrial construction.
- Strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and market pricing.
- Proficiency in estimating software (e.g., HCSS HeavyBid, CostX) and MS Excel.
- Excellent analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with various teams.
- Ability to manage multiple estimates and deadlines simultaneously.
- Experience working in a hybrid environment, balancing site visits with office-based analysis.
