About the Role

Our client, a leading e-commerce and delivery solutions provider, is seeking an analytical and forward-thinking Urban Transport Route Optimization Specialist to enhance their operational efficiency in Oaxaca City, Oaxaca . This critical role involves designing, implementing, and managing optimized delivery routes to minimize travel time, reduce fuel consumption, and improve delivery punctuality. Key Responsibilities

- Analyze existing delivery routes and identify inefficiencies.
- Design and implement optimized routes for delivery drivers using specialized software and geographical data.
- Continuously monitor route performance and make adjustments as needed to improve efficiency and customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate with dispatchers and drivers to ensure smooth execution of planned routes.
- Evaluate and recommend new technologies or methodologies for route optimization.
- Manage and maintain the accuracy of mapping and address data within the routing system.
- Calculate estimated delivery times (ETAs) and communicate them to operations and relevant stakeholders.
- Develop strategies to mitigate risks associated with traffic, road closures, and other urban transit challenges.




- Generate reports on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to route efficiency, cost savings, and delivery times.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Operations Research, Industrial Engineering, Geography, or a related field.
- Proven experience in route planning and optimization, preferably in an urban delivery environment.
- Expertise in using route optimization software (e.g., PTV, Route4Me, OptimoRoute, or similar).
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with the ability to interpret complex data sets.
- Proficiency in GIS (Geographic Information System) software is highly desirable.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills to liaise with drivers, management, and IT support.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Familiarity with the specific challenges of delivering in Oaxaca City, Oaxaca is a strong advantage.
- Knowledge of fleet management principles.
