About the Role

Our client, WhatJobs Direct , is actively seeking an exceptional Ingeniero de Soporte Remoto para Infraestructura de Red to join their cutting-edge team. This is a fully remote position, allowing you to work from anywhere, but requires a strong connection to our operations based out of Toluca, State of Mexico . In this role, you will be instrumental in providing advanced technical support and maintenance for our clients' critical network infrastructure. You will diagnose complex network issues, implement solutions, and ensure the optimal performance and security of distributed network environments. This position demands a deep understanding of networking principles, exceptional troubleshooting skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, remote setting. We are looking for a highly motivated and self-directed individual who is passionate about network technology and dedicated to delivering outstanding remote support. Your expertise will be crucial in maintaining the operational integrity and scalability of our clients' network systems.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide Tier 2/3 remote technical support for network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs.
- Diagnose and resolve complex network connectivity, performance, and security issues.
- Monitor network performance and proactively identify potential problems.
- Implement network configurations, updates, and patches remotely.
- Collaborate with other IT teams to troubleshoot and resolve interdependencies.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation of network configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
- Participate in on‑call rotation for emergency support.




- Stay current with emerging network technologies and best practices.
- Assist in the design and implementation of network upgrades and enhancements.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in network administration, engineering, or advanced technical support.
- In‑depth knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing protocols (e.g., OSPF, BGP), and switching technologies.
- Experience with firewalls (e.g., Cisco ASA, Palo Alto, Fortinet) and VPN technologies.
- Proficiency in network monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Nagios, Zabbix).
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices.
- Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly.
- Self‑motivated and able to work effectively in a remote team environment.
- Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent are highly preferred.
