Key Responsibilities

- Design and plan urban road networks, intersections, pedestrian facilities, and bicycle lanes.
- Conduct traffic impact studies and develop mitigation strategies for new developments.
- Analyze traffic operations and implement improvements to enhance flow and safety.
- Develop strategies for public transportation infrastructure, including bus routes and stops.
- Incorporate principles of sustainable mobility and active transportation into designs.
- Utilize traffic modeling and simulation software (e.g., VISSIM, Synchro) for analysis and design.




- Collaborate with urban planners and architects on integrated urban development projects.
- Ensure designs comply with local zoning regulations and transportation standards.
- Prepare technical reports, design drawings, and cost estimates for urban mobility projects.
- Engage with community groups and stakeholders to gather input on transportation needs.

Requirements

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering with a focus on Transportation or Urban Engineering.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in urban transportation planning, design, or traffic engineering.
- Proficiency in traffic analysis and design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D, VISSIM, Synchro).
- Strong understanding of urban planning principles, traffic control devices, and road safety standards.
- Experience with public transportation planning and active transportation design.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Knowledge of local regulations and planning processes in San Luis Potosí is a plus.
- Ability to manage project tasks and work effectively in a team.
