About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Remote Field Crop Strategist to join their dynamic agricultural team. This position is designed for an individual who can provide expert guidance and strategic planning for crop cultivation across diverse geographical areas, all managed remotely. You will leverage advanced data analytics, satellite imagery, and remote sensing technologies to monitor crop health, predict yields, and identify potential issues before they impact production. This role requires a deep understanding of agronomy and a proven ability to make informed decisions based on data, without the need for constant on-site presence. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in optimizing agricultural strategies for our client's operations nationwide, focusing on efficiency and sustainability.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and refine crop management strategies based on remote sensing data, weather patterns, and soil analysis reports.
- Monitor crop health and growth stages across multiple locations using satellite imagery, drone data, and other remote sensing tools.
- Analyze data to predict potential risks such as pest infestations, diseases, or adverse weather conditions.
- Provide timely and actionable recommendations to local farm managers regarding planting schedules, fertilization, pest control, and harvesting timing.
- Collaborate with data scientists and agronomists to improve analytical models and forecasting accuracy.
- Ensure the efficient use of resources by advising on optimal application of water, fertilizers, and pesticides based on precise data.
- Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations on crop performance, strategic insights, and recommended interventions for senior management.
- Stay current with advancements in precision agriculture, remote sensing,



and data analytics relevant to crop management.
- Facilitate virtual communication and knowledge sharing between different farm sites and the central agronomy team.
- Contribute to the development of best practices for remote agricultural monitoring and management.

Requirements

- Master's degree or Ph.D. in Agronomy, Agricultural Science, Remote Sensing, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in crop management, with a significant focus on utilizing remote sensing technologies and data analysis.
- Proven experience with GIS software, satellite image analysis platforms, and agricultural data management systems.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex datasets and translate them into practical strategies.
- Excellent communication skills, particularly in conveying technical information clearly and concisely in a remote setting.
- Self-motivated, highly organized, and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously from a distance.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a distributed team.
- Proficiency in Spanish and English is required for effective communication with diverse teams and stakeholders.
