About the Role

Our client, a prominent player in the automotive manufacturing industry, is seeking an experienced and dynamic Jefe de Ingeniería de Producción Automotriz to lead their engineering efforts in Tlalnepantla, State of Mexico. This leadership position is vital for driving continuous improvement in production processes, optimizing manufacturing efficiency, and ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety. You will manage a team of engineers, oversee the implementation of new technologies, and collaborate with cross-functional departments to achieve production targets. Key Responsibilities

- Lead and manage the production engineering department, including staffing, training, and performance evaluation.
- Develop and implement strategies to enhance production efficiency, reduce costs, and improve product quality.
- Oversee the design, installation, and commissioning of new manufacturing equipment and production lines.
- Ensure adherence to all safety regulations and environmental standards within the production facilities.
- Collaborate with R&D;, quality assurance, and supply chain departments to meet production goals.
- Implement lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives (e.g., Six Sigma, Kaizen).
- Analyze production data to identify trends, bottlenecks,



and areas for improvement.
- Manage the departmental budget and ensure efficient resource allocation.
- Mentor and develop engineering team members, fostering a culture of innovation and high performance.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Automotive, or related field).
- Master's degree or MBA is a plus.
- Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in production engineering within the automotive industry.
- Proven leadership experience managing engineering teams.
- In-depth knowledge of automotive manufacturing processes and technologies.
- Strong understanding of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Proficiency in project management and budget control.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience working in industrial environments near Tlalnepantla, State of Mexico.
- Fluency in English is required.
