About the Role

Our client, a prominent retail organization, is looking for an experienced Analista de Seguridad de Endpoints y Malware to join their security team in Mexicali, Baja California, MX . This hybrid role will be responsible for protecting the organization's endpoints from malware, advanced persistent threats (APTs), and other malicious activities. You will play a key role in managing endpoint detection and response (EDR) solutions, analyzing malware samples, and coordinating incident response activities related to endpoints. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, possesses strong analytical skills, and has a deep understanding of malware behavior and endpoint security technologies.

Key Responsibilities

- Monitor and manage endpoint security solutions (Antivirus, EDR, HIPS).
- Analyze malware samples and identify indicators of compromise (IOCs).
- Investigate endpoint security alerts and incidents.
- Develop and implement policies and configurations for endpoint security tools.
- Perform threat hunting on endpoints to detect undetected threats.
- Assist in the development and execution of incident response plans for endpoint compromises.
- Stay current with the latest malware trends, attack vectors, and endpoint security technologies.
- Provide recommendations for improving endpoint security posture.




- Collaborate with IT operations to ensure timely patching and system updates.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in endpoint security, malware analysis, or incident response.
- Hands-on experience with EDR solutions (e.g., CrowdStrike, SentinelOne, Microsoft Defender for Endpoint).
- Understanding of malware analysis techniques and tools.
- Knowledge of operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux) and their security features.
- Familiarity with security concepts like file integrity monitoring, host-based intrusion prevention, and application whitelisting.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Relevant certifications like CompTIA CySA+, GIAC GSEC, or ECIH are advantageous.
