The Ejecutivo de Ventas (Sales Executive) is a commercial role focused on driving revenue growth by managing the full sales cycle—from prospecting to closing—and building long-term client relationships. While specific duties vary by industry (technology, healthcare, hospitality, etc.), the core function remains consistent: acting as the primary "closer" who converts qualified leads into paying customers and maximizes account value.

Core Responsibilities

Based on current job descriptions, the role typically involves the following key areas:

- Full-Cycle Sales Management: You own the deal from start to finish. This includes prospecting for new business, qualifying leads, delivering tailored presentations, negotiating terms, and finally closing the contract . In many organizations, this role is distinct from a Sales Development Representative (SDR), who focuses only on the initial outreach; the Ejecutivo de Ventas focuses on the middle and bottom of the funnel—nurturing and closing .
- Account & Territory Management: You are responsible for a portfolio of existing clients (often B2B). This means maintaining regular contact, ensuring client satisfaction and retention, and identifying opportunities to upsell or cross-sell additional products or services . You may also be responsible for a specific geographic territory, requiring efficient route planning and coverage .
- Revenue Generation & Target Achievement:

The role is fundamentally measured by results. You are expected to meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales quotas. This involves developing strategic sales plans and maintaining a robust sales pipeline (often requiring a pipeline value of 3x the assigned target) to ensure consistent future revenue .
- Negotiation & Solution Selling: Instead of simply selling a product, the role often requires consultative selling. You must understand the client's operational or logistical challenges and position your company's solutions as a measurable value-add. This culminates in negotiating mutually beneficial agreements that protect profitability while satisfying the client .

Key Skills & Tools

- Technical Proficiency: Most roles require heavy use of CRM tools (like Salesforce) to track leads, manage pipelines, and forecast sales performance .
- Analytical Skills: You need the ability to analyze market trends, evaluate customer potential, and use data to prioritize accounts and adjust sales strategies .
- Communication & Influence: The role demands strong presentation skills (both technical and commercial) and the ability to build relationships with key decision-makers (C-level executives, procurement, etc.) .

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $7,876.00 - $21,976.00 per month

Expected hours: 40.0 per week

Work Location: In person
