Type of contract : Independent Contractor Type of job: Remote About the Role: We are seeking a highly capable, hands-on Director of Finance / CFO to own and strengthen the finance function across a growing multi-site healthcare business.
This is a high-impact role for a finance leader who thrives in operational environments, enjoys building structure, and can help prepare a business for continued scale, investment readiness, and long-term growth.
This person will work closely with the CEO and leadership team to build financial discipline, improve reporting and forecasting, and create the systems and controls needed to support expansion.
Key Responsibilities: Own and lead the day-to-day finance function Build and maintain robust financial controls and processes Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow planning Develop and maintain accurate financial models Improve monthly reporting and management visibility Support audit readiness and ongoing financial compliance Help transition and maintain GAAP/accrual accounting practices Monitor financial performance and identify risks, trends, and opportunities Partner with leadership on strategic planning, growth initiatives,



and investor readiness Streamline finance operations across multiple entities and locations Support organizational structure improvements as the business scales What We're Looking For The adecuado candidate is a senior finance operator who is equally comfortable with strategy and execution.

Required Experience Proven experience in finance leadership roles such as CFO, Director of Finance, Controller, or similar Strong background in startup or scaling businesses Experience building or improving financial processes, controls, and reporting Familiarity with US accounting standards, bookkeeping, and financial operations Experience with accrual accounting and audit preparation Ability to manage complexity across multiple entities or locations Strong working knowledge of forecasting, budgeting, and cash flow management Preferred Experience Good experience with AI tools Experience in healthcare or regulated service businesses Experience or understanding of US healthcare insurance reimbursement dynamics Exposure to businesses backed by investors or preparing for investment Experience supporting acquisitions or organizational restructuring Prior experience working with remote, global teams Ideal Candidate Profile Strategic thinker with a strong operational mindset Highly organized and detail-oriented Comfortable rolling up their sleeves and building from the ground up Strong communicator who can partner well with founders and operators Able to work independently and drive progress without heavy oversight Comfortable in a fast-changing, growth-oriented environment
